Vasayo Micromyst - For more info or to order CLICK HERE

Do you have trouble sleeping or trying to calm down before you go to sleep?  You are not alone.  Studies are showing that this is a common problem due to the additional stresses our society dishes out on all levels, whether it be a child in grade school who not only goes to school but has several outside activities to attend to during the week like sports or clubs, or an adult dealing with the stresses that every day life brings on.  What about melatonin?  Is the fact that scientists are saying that the sun is dimming is having an affect on our melatonin levels?  It's now so much harder to wind down before bedtime.  Oftentimes, if you are anything like me, your mind is racing while you think of everything you didn't get done during the day or that you are going to need to do for tomorrow that you should have done today. We've all been in that position.

I have a few good friends who, along with me, are into the study of genetically modified organisms aka GMO and what that means.  One of my good friends was told about a new line of dietary supplement products that were all non-gmo.  Not only that, he told me that the company was on the cutting edge of using a super effective technology that would allow more of the vitamins and minerals to get absorbed into your body, quickly and better then anything else on the market for their product line.

He shared the website link for VASAYO MICROLIFE and I was able to see for myself what these new products were and why they were so unique and important.  They all have formulas that can benefit so many.  I read all of the information over but focused on the one that would help me get a good night's sleep.  I found that all of their supplements are not only GMO free, but also have what the company is calling a "new proprietary delivery system."  Not being a scientist, I wanted to know exactly what that term meant.

I looked at the various links on their website and saw a drop down menu for their products.  Then I saw a link that said "Videos" so I clicked on that link. There were several videos that introduced the company, the founders, Dallin and Karee Larsen and the product line.

I've included two of the short videos here describing the technology behind the gmo free sleep aid dietary supplement product and one on the liposome delivery system which is very important.  I'll let the videos explain because they will help you to understand why the sleep Micromyst and their other products are far superior to what you might be taking or are considering taking now.

Introducing Vasayo, Microlife Nutritionals Sleep Micromyst Dietary supplement.

Now that you know what the Vasayo sleep dietary supplement does, here is more information about why it is on the cutting edge of technology.  What is the liposome delivery system?  Short but good info from the guy who is behind all of the tech stuff, Dr Emek Blair.

Next post will be about the ingredients that are in the Vasayo Microlife Sleep Aid Dietary Supplement and comments from those who are actually using it. . . in addition to myself of course.

Here's the link if you just can't wait.  You can actually Order Here.

Stroke Victim? Which Would You Choose? Drugs or Organic / Non-GMO Vitamins? Part One

Welcome to my very personal post.  This post will address the use of non-gmo vitamins that helped me in my recovery from what was considered to be a mild thalamus stroke in 2016.  I am getting more personal in this blog because I feel so passionately about sharing my experience and my outcomes because I believe it can potentially help others who may be dealing with any type of health issues.  At the same time, I am trying to help myself, both by sharing the information and by finding a new way to make a living that will work in conjunction with my post-stroke life and help relieve some of the stresses that may have contributed to the stroke in the first place.

I chose the topic of GMO free vitamins because of how important this information is.  I also use non-gmo vitamins and eat mainly non-gmo or gmo free organic foods.  I want to share that information with as many who are interested in a personal, casual form on this blog.  If you are looking for real life stories and experiences, this is where you will find them.  If you need straight facts and medical advice, you may need to be reading a website from a physician.  My goal is to inform and hopefully, entertain a bit in the process of revealing some helpful, gmo free vitamins, minerals and oils that will enhance your life, especially if you have had medical issues.

A brief history:  Due to numerous serious health issues, including acute intermittent porphyria (AIP) and sarcoidosis, I have always had to avoid drugs of all kinds, including some vitamins and many over the counter medicines that others take regularly.  There are even some foods that I have to stay away from because they can cause my AIP to act up or bring on a life-threatening attack.  As a result, I have already done a lot of research on using alternatives to drugs and over the counter drugs that are common for people to take every day.

When researching alternatives for drugs, I started to find many articles on genetically modified foods and was horrified about what I found out.  I knew I would have to make it a priority to avoid those types of foods for sure.  Then, after my stroke, I started to wonder if the vitamins I had been regularly using were also genetically modified.  I had never even thought about that until my stroke because I didn't think of vitamins as being food.  That was just wrong thinking.  They are mainly ingested and what is in them definitely does matter.  Our food is made of vitamins and when our food is lacking, the vitamins become our main source of food in a sense.

I started researching all of the vitamins I was taking.  It was a good thing that I did because many of them would not meet the standards that I have today when choosing the right vitamins for the conditions I am trying to treat.  After doing more research, I am now aware of what vitamins are and why they also should be non-gmo or organic.  Anything that was ever going to go into my mouth had to be gmo-free or organic and non-gmo or I wasn't going to take it.  If I need something medically to save my life that is genetically modified and has no other alternative, of course I would have to consider that, but with anything that is in my immediate control, I can make a choice.

Please read part two for the continuing story on using organic or non-gmo vitamins after my stroke.

3 Dangers of Genetically Modified Foods

Do genetically modified foods really cause problems or danger to your body?  Research says an emphatic YES.

If you think about the term. . . "genetically modified", even the name itself would lend you to think before you tried to consume a food that is labeled in such a way (when you can find a label).

Dangerous?

1.  The largest seed provider in the world is now "forcing" farmers to buy their seed.  It is genetically modified and it feeds most of the world.  How is it genetically modified?  The seed contains weed killing properties mixed in with the vegetable it is going to grow.  Corn is where you will find most of the weed killer.  When the farmers are growing this seed into corn, they are growing a crop that doesn't need sprayed because the seed itself contains the weed killer and you are eating the end result.  Sounds yummy, doesn't it?

2.  The regulations are few and far between.  These huge companies are so powerful that they force their own will on the people.  They can dictate who does what and get away with what they do and continue to do with their sheer $ power.

3.  The genetically modified seeds are growing crops but an unexpected side effect of these new seeds is that they are producing what are called "super weeds".  This leaves the farmers in another dilemma.  What pesticides will they use to kill the super weeds?  Guess who steps in?  Yes, the same huge companies that created the genetically modified seeds will now create a pesticide they can spray on the super weeds that surround their own seed.  Spraying was never eliminated and now our bodies get a double whammy.

There is so much more information.  It is actually mind boggling.  I am going to pick subjects that I feel passionate about and post when I can.  It's hard not to get so angry.  You can take action by not buying corn that has been planted using the GMO seeds but that is a double-edged sword.  The farmers suffer in every way.  They suffer when they are forced to buy seed through a monopoly and then forced to deal with consumers who don't want to eat the corn they produce because of the dangers to their bodies that are not designed for these foreign substances.

What in the World is GMO? Genetically Modified Organism

What in the World is GMO?  An Introduction

If you are buying anything to eat and you see a label marked GMO, we recommend that you don't buy it.  GMO is a term that stands for Genetically Modified Organism.  There are presently no laws in the United States that require companies to label their products as genetically modified  or genetically engineered.  Mostly every other company in the world does require their manufacturers to state if their product is genetically modified.  Hopefully, with the amount of pressure from organic groups and concerned parents and families, that will change.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE NON GMO PROJECT

Here is the definition used by The GMO Project:  A GMO, or genetically modified organism, is a plant, animal, microorganism or other organism whose genetic makeup has been modified using recombinant DNA methods (also called gene splicing), gene modification or transgenic technology.

What's the big deal?

Genetically modified means just that.  The natural product has been taken from it's natural state and made into something else.  Our bodies were NOT designed to eat foreign materials.  For example, genetically modified corn is no longer the corn your grandpa used to grow.  It's a new kind of corn.  The companies today who produce the seed to grow the corn have added a pesticide to the seed making it genetically modified.  So what you say?  It's really a big deal.  Now you are going to be eating an ear of corn that is not only corn but you are also eating the pesticide.  Not only that, but that seed will produce a crop of corn that will be harvested and then die and instead of being able to use the seeds over and over again from the food product itself, the farmers now have to buy new seed every year.  That costs the farmers a fortune and raises the price of your corn every year.  You are paying more to be filled with pesticide-laden corn.

How many foods are genetically modified in the United States?

If you look at the statistics, you will find that LOTS of foods are genetically modified.  There is a huge list of foods that you should avoid eating if you purchase them from a typical grocery store.  If you purchase your foods from an organic store or natural foods store you have a better chance of not getting a GMO product, but you still have to check.  Not everything that is natural or claims to be natural, actually is.  Organically grown is the best choice because there are no chemicals used in the growing process.  Natural can use a combination of those things.
